The following Moratorium Alert is for clients that have authority to write in the following states:

Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Virginia

Due to the presence of “Hurricane Erin”, we ask that, effective immediately, please discontinue binding new business that includes Windstorm or increasing coverage on existing business in the following areas:

Continuous coverage on renewals that have already been quoted prior to this moratorium notice is acceptable, however,

GenStar will not allow any backdating of coverage for those renewals where the request to bind was received after the effective date if the risk is in the projected path of the hurricane/storm.
