General Star provides Florida Loss of Rents coverage for select risks through our Property Division. Coverage will be written by General Star Indemnity Company on a non-admitted basis through designated surplus lines brokers.

Coverage Offered

• Commercial Business Interruption Coverage Form for standalone Business Interruption Coverage for apartment risks in cases where their building and personal property carrier is not providing the Loss of Rents coverage.

Risk Appetite

• Apartment houses, all construction

Minimum Premiums

• $20,000 for risks located at a distance of 10 miles or less from the coast and all of Jacksonville, Florida.
• $15,000 for risks located at a distance greater than 10 miles from the coast

Ineligible Exposures

• Risks constructed prior to 1995

• The following counties in the state of Florida:Wakulla, Leon, Jefferson, Taylor, Madison, Dixie, Lafayette, Suwannee, Hamilton, Levy, Gilchrist, Columbia, Alachua, Bradford, Union, Baker, Citrus, Marion, Putnam, Clay, Nassau, Duval, St. Johns, Flagler
